What Is the VinFast VF6 Range Calculator?

The VinFast VF6 Range Calculator estimates how far you can drive on a charge based on your battery capacity, current state of charge (SoC), and how much energy your driving consumes per mile. The VF6 is a compact electric SUV; the Eco trim uses roughly a 59.6 kWh battery while the Plus trim uses a larger pack. Real-world range depends on speed, terrain, climate control, and driving style, so this tool lets you model your own consumption rate.

How to Use It

Enter your battery capacity in kWh, your current charge level as a percentage, and your average energy consumption in kWh per mile. The calculator multiplies the battery size by the charge fraction to find usable energy, then divides by consumption to estimate remaining range. Lower the consumption figure for efficient highway cruising or raise it for cold weather and aggressive driving.

The Formula Explained

$$\text{Range (miles)} = \frac{\text{Battery (kWh)} \times \frac{\text{SoC (\%)}}{100}}{\text{Consumption (kWh/mile)}}$$ If your battery is 59.6 kWh, you have a full 100% charge, and you consume 0.27 kWh per mile, then usable energy is 59.6 kWh and range = \(59.6 / 0.27 \approx 220.7\) miles.

Diagram showing usable battery energy divided by consumption per mile equals driving range
Range equals usable battery energy (capacity times state of charge) divided by energy used per mile.

Worked Example

Suppose the VF6 has a 59.6 kWh battery charged to 80% and you average 0.30 kWh/mile. Usable energy = \(59.6 \times 0.80 = 47.68\) kWh. Range = \(47.68 / 0.30 \approx 158.9\) miles.

FAQ

What consumption value should I use? Typical compact EVs use 0.25–0.32 kWh/mile. Highway driving and cold weather increase consumption.

Does this match the EPA rating? It is an estimate. EPA ranges assume standardized test cycles; your real-world range will vary.

Can I use it for other EVs? Yes — just enter that vehicle's battery capacity and consumption figures.
