What this calculator does

The Meditation Streak & Total Minutes Calculator turns your daily practice into meaningful totals. Tell it how long each meditation session is, how many sessions you do per day, and how many days you've kept (or plan to keep) your streak. It instantly shows the total minutes and hours you'll accumulate, along with your minutes-per-day and total session count.

How to use it

Enter three numbers: minutes per session (e.g. 10), sessions per day (often 1 or 2), and days — the length of your streak or goal window such as 30, 100, or 365. The result updates with your cumulative practice time so you can set goals and stay motivated.

The formula explained

The math is straightforward multiplication. Total minutes equals minutes per session multiplied by sessions per day multiplied by days: $$\text{total\_minutes} = \text{minutes} \times \text{sessions} \times \text{days}$$ Hours are simply \(\text{total\_minutes} \div 60\). Minutes per day is \(\text{minutes} \times \text{sessions}\), and total sessions is \(\text{sessions} \times \text{days}\).

Total minutes equals minutes per session times sessions per day times number of days.

Worked example

Suppose you meditate for 15 minutes per session, twice per day, for a 30-day streak. Total minutes = $$15 \times 2 \times 30 = 900 \text{ minutes}.$$ That's \(900 \div 60 = 15\) hours of mindfulness, at 30 minutes per day across 60 total sessions. A small daily habit adds up fast.

A meditation streak is the number of consecutive days with completed sessions.

FAQ

Does this only count consecutive days? No — the "days" field is just a count. Use it for an unbroken streak or any total number of practice days.

Can I model a yearly goal? Yes. Enter 365 days to see how a daily habit accumulates over a full year.

What if I skip sessions? Use your average sessions per day (e.g. 0.8) or reduce the day count to reflect actual practice days for an accurate total.
