What is the Days Until Father's Day Calculator?
In the United States, United Kingdom and many other countries, Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June. Because the date shifts each year, it can be hard to know exactly how long you have left to plan a gift, a card or a family gathering. This calculator works out the precise date for any year and counts the number of days from today until then.
How to use it
Enter the year you want to check (it defaults to the current year). The tool finds the third Sunday in June for that year and subtracts today's date. A positive number means Father's Day is still ahead; zero means it is today; a negative number means it has already passed this year.
The formula explained
First we locate the first Sunday on or after June 1, then add 14 days to reach the third Sunday. The countdown is simply that date minus today's date, measured in whole days.
