How to use it
Enter the last day of school (your final scheduled school day) and today's date. The calculator subtracts today from the last day and shows the number of days left, plus the equivalent number of weeks. By default, today's date is filled in for you and the last day defaults to June 15 of the current year — just change them to match your school calendar.
The formula explained
The math is simple date arithmetic:

Dividing the result by 7 gives the number of weeks remaining. If the last day of school has already passed, the result will be negative — meaning summer break is already here!
Worked example
Suppose today is May 1, 2024, and your last day of school is June 14, 2024. May has 31 days, so from May 1 to May 31 is 30 days, plus 14 days into June equals 44 days:
